Day 1



Scoperta della fabbrica dei biscotti: Tanta ruggine.
Incredibile ma la Texana è più colpita della Chicago.
I pezzi ci stanno quasi tutti.
Una sella è quasi irrecuperabile e il motore della Texana è grandemente inchiodato.
Aperto carter lato frizione senza distruggere le viti (e chi ha avuto a che fare con Alette di quei tempi sa che voglio dire) ci mostra una frizione e primaria in buono stato.

Splendidi i rovi sotto il serbatoio della Texana (che ha anche il telaietto post storto).

Ah, beh, e chi pensa che alla Schiranna si siano impegnati:
-camera di scoppio a beretto di fantino (ampiamente obsoleto già a quei tempi)
-ingranaggi primaria elicoidali invece che andare a prendere quelli della Ala d'Oro a denti dritti.
-cerchi in "ferrasc"
-molti componenti presi dallo scaffale "Aletta" con l'eccezione del serbatoio preso da uno "Zeffiretto" e ripittato.
Doveva correre, ma di roba da corsa ne aveva poca.

A lot of rust!

Unbelievably the Texana is more rusty than the Chicago.
Bits and pieces are nearly all there.
A saddle is nearly unrecoverable.
And the piston on Texana is blocked.
Internals on the right side of the engine look ok. And it seems that the engine has never been opened before.

Oh, and if someone thinks the guys at Schiranna put any effort on this bike they are wrong:
Apart from the frame and the piston-head-cylinder all the rest came form available parts from the actual production (Rapido).
The tank looks like coming from "Zeffiretto".
It was built for racing but had very little of those nice racing parts.
